Submission Criteria for Posters
The Poster session at the DEM Solutions User Group Meeting will complement the main program by offering an opportunity for authors to present late-breaking or as-yet incomplete research results, or significant work-in-progress. The abstracts of accepted posters will be published and will be available at the meeting. Poster proposals will be judged on relevance and originality.
Once your abstract is accepted, please register for the conference.
All abstract submissions must include the following in order to be considered:
Poster Title: This is the title that will be published in the program.
Abstract: 500 words submitted by email to a.hope@dem-solutions.com.
Presenter: Name and full contact information of the poster presenter is required.
- Poster authors are required to submit a 500-word proposal summarizing the work and the results describing the substance of the work, not how it will physically or visually appear in the poster format.
- Accepted proposals will be given poster space in an exhibit area during the conference.
- At least one author must register for the UGM.
- There will be designated hours during which the author(s) are expected to be at their posters to present their work. Additionally, there will be several possible poster presentation slots, where the poster will be presented before an audience. If your poster is selected for one of these sessions you will be notified at the same time as you receive your acceptance.
- Please try to include an email and website address leading to more information about the work.
- Final posters must be A0 sized (landscape) to fit on our poster boards.
- Please submit a pdf of your final poster by March 20th to a.hope@dem-solutions.com.
- Hard copies of all posters must be delivered to Alison Hope, DEM Solutions UGM, 24-25th April 2008,
c/o Barcelo Edinburgh Carlton Hotel, North Bridge, Edinburgh, EH1 1SD by the 21st April.
If you intend to carry your poster to the conference, please be sure to hand this in to our registration desk either between 6-7pm on Wednesday 23rd April or by 8.30am on Thursday 24th April so that the posters can be hung in time.
