Analysing Results
Use the EDEM Analyst to post-process the results generated from the EDEM Simulator. Data analysis and visualization tools in EDEM enable model performance to be investigated in many different ways.
Visualization
- 3D play-back and save of the simulated model
- Create videos (AVI, WMV) containing multiple display modes and multiple simulations
- Export single or multiple images.
- Mesh, node and shaded solid display modes.
- Cutaway views created using planes and slices.
- Particle representations including vectors, streams and templates.
- Dynamic coloring of elements relative to any physical attribute (e.g. force, velocity or distance traveled), element type or selected group.
- Contact visualization using contact forces or overlaps.
- User-definable bin and selection groups of particular areas of a model or specific elements.
- Create bin groups based on imported mesh files, then link the group's position to any defined geometry.
Data Mining
- Export simulation data to .csv or .case (Ensight) files.
- Record and export of spacial analysis and transient data.
- User-definable data export queries.
- Extraction of data from user-specified bin and selection groups.
- Data compression and truncation.
- Analyze specific contact combinations, for example particle A and wall C.
Graphing
- Graph data using EDEM's build in graphing program.
- Plot data using histograms, pie charts, line graphs and scatter plots.
- Graphing of both primary and secondary variables.
- Export graph images.
- Graphing of data from user-specified groups.
