I have a problem with my EDEM simulation, what should I do?

Can I use my existing CAD geometries?

Yes, EDEM can import from a wide range of file types, including:

  • IGES (.igs, .iges)
  • STEP (.stp, .step)
  • Pro/E (.prt, .asm, .g) (Windows only)
  • FLUENT Mesh (.msh)
  • STL (.stl)
  • ACIS (.sat)
  • Parasolid (.x_t, .xmt_txt, .x_b)
  • Catia (.CATPart, .CATProduct, .model)
  • AutoCAD (.dxf, .dwg)
  • Various (.vda)

Does the software require extensive training?

EDEM is an intuitive and easy to use software package, however some DEM knowledge or training is recommended. Support for EDEM's Extended API requires training.
