Model Parameters

Particles
- Creation of spherical or non-spherical particles.

- Surface approximation using multi-element convex geometric primitives.
- Automatic calculation of particle parameters including moments of inertia and mass.
Machine Geometry
- Solid model and optional surface mesh import of machine geometry.
- Easy creation of basic geometry bodies such as cubes, cylinders and polygons.
- Assign linear or sinusoidal translations or rotations to individual geometry sections.
Particle Generation
- Particles generated using EDEM's unique Particle FactoryTM tool.
- Easy creation of dynamic (continuous) or static (instantaneous) factories.
- Simple specification of a range of initialization conditions including linear and angular velocity, size and orientation. Options include linear, normal, and log-normal distributions.
- Particles placed using random or lattice (cubic, fcc or bcc) formations.
